Dennis W. Key, SRA has been active in the appraisal field of real estate for over twenty eight (28) years. He is 2008 Past President of the Appraisal Institute - Alabama Chapter. We are located in Jasper, AL where our day to day appraisal activities take place both in Commercial and Residential. Dennis holds the Certified General Real Property Appraiser certification for the State of Alabama.
SPECIALIZED LITIGATION EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Key also specializes in detrimental condition appraisal assignments and eminent domain cases. Detrimental conditions include a wide spectrum of value loss due to some deficiency and/or defect causing diminution to property value. Those issues specifically associated with Mr. Key’s appraisal practice includes contamination i.e., pcb’s, carbon black, petroleum spills and value issues created from construction defects, etc.; other issues include subsidence and damage attributable to blasting. Due to the size and complexity of these cases, other associates have been brought into the case to expedite and provide specialized expertise for our client’s. Eminent domain cases include experience in pipeline easements, for instance, the North Alabama Pipeline completed by Southern Natural Gas Company. This particular natural gas line began in Tuscaloosa County, AL to the South Tennessee border and included over 500 tracts. State agencies have required our appraisal services for acquititions of rights of ways and various other takings.
